M-A TV is the brainchild of the artist Mark-anthony Abel but supported by Soundsbad Music who were intrigued by the idea and as an independent was all for the avantgarde. So simply not just a tool to promote himself, but to harness the intense thrust of new talent and personalities coming through. Take a look at our beautiful and vibrant city of London where almost any of the people you see has a story and character worth recognising. M-A TV could never be just about one person.
A. Aims
We wish to challenge modern stereotypes cemented into our psyche through the razzle dazzle of celebrity culture. We wish to stimulate and educate our viewers and offer greater depth in their entertainment. M-A TV will use art in the most subtle forms. We encourage viewers to watch and try to see the message underlying the splash. M-A TV is art and Art has many meanings, none of them necessarily the right one. Do we really need guns and violence to be entertained?
B. Breakdown
You'd really need to have your head tested if you'd somehow missed the changes in our society over the last decade. Gang membership on the increase and a youth culture that threatens to engulf civility for generations to come. Still there is a bright side to all of this. We have begun to come together to counteract all the negatives to show that Great Britain is a melting pot of multi-cultures but one that won't simply point the finger of blame, yet instead, look to solutions. M-A TV will present screenplays that are controversial and explosive but highlight the breakdown in society but also offer solutions.
M-A TV supports Crossing the River which is a non-profit organisation promoting the help of mentors to facilitate change within the community. It also encourages the use of musical instruments to help disadvantaged youngsters.
C. Community
You don't need to be a communist to be a part of our community. Community should be something the whole world is a part of. We can all be part of M-A TV and we challenge you to become part of something new and exciting. Don't be fooled by the fact we're on Youtube as M-A TV is much bigger than an internet site. Still, youtube has helped empower so many people so why should it be any different for us? We want to show that we are all special, so this time it really can be about you.
